Listing policy
UmmahRank is a pay-to-rank discovery board for Muslim apps and websites. Visitors always continue to the official listing. We are not an alternative app store, a download host, a quality league table, or a religious certification body.
What you can list
- An app live on the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- A website on its own HTTPS domain.
- The canonical URL. Websites are indexed by domain, apps by store id, so one product cannot occupy two rows.
How the relevance check works
When you paste a link we fetch the real listing — name, description, publisher and category — and check it against the policy. We judge the published listing, not what you type into our form.
- Refused. If the listing matches a prohibited category, checkout never opens and we tell you which one matched.
- Cleared. If the listing clearly serves Muslims, you go live the moment payment confirms.
- Unclear. If nothing in the listing shows the connection, you write one line explaining it. You still go live instantly, carrying an “under review” badge until a human confirms. If it does not hold up, we delist and refund in full.
Refused outright, at any price
- Gambling, casinos, betting, lotteries and prize draws
- Alcohol, pork and anything built around them
- Pornography and adult content
- Interest-based and payday lending
- Occult, tarot, horoscopes and fortune telling
- Hookup dating and nightlife
- Scams, phishing, malware and cracked software
- APK mirrors, link shorteners and group-invite links
Sponsored ranking
The live board ranks each listing by its standing bid. Each payment is a fresh 30-day bid, Stripe charges the full bid, and the paid amount replaces that listing's standing bid. Passing an occupied rank requires at least $1 more than its standing amount. Today is a rolling activity view: verified payments remain labelled as sponsorships, while operator-curated additions do not create recognized revenue. It offers no position quote. The graveyard is separate
The graveyard is not the live board. It records unbuilt, shut-down, or low-revenue Muslim SaaS ideas without a standing bid. The same content rules apply, but there is no checkout and no rank.
Enforcement
Anyone can report a listing from its page. Listings removed for policy breaches discovered after payment are refunded; listings removed for deliberate deception are not.
